Приєднався 2 тра 2013
Fabrizio Nastari (b. 1990) is an Italian composer whose aesthetic is based on the use of ironic devices. He is currently pursuing a PhD degree in Artistic Research at the Estonian Academy of Music and Theatre in Tallinn. At the same Academy, he is the designer and lecturer of the subject “Composing with 14th Century Technique”.
Using a broad spectrum of techniques, to create contrast or to seek cohabitation for different musical textures, Fabrizio wants to reflect upon the absurdity of the time we live in and the complexity of the human being. Irony has a primary role as inspiration and as a rhetorical and compositional tool.
He is active as a researcher through the publishing of articles and presenting his works at international conferences as well.
Since 2019 he has worked as a production assistant in the “highSCORE Festival”.
In 2023 he joined Nuova Consonanza association.

I like the dynamics.😊
This s*** here she'll be funky
I think this is one of the very finest recorded performances of guitar repertoire of all time. I've never heard anything better. It is a perfect match of composer, composition, performer, and instrument.
15:50 sanctus et benedictus 19:44 agnus dei
Super!
❤god bless 2:59
I heard him play this live. Everybody went crazy. It was like a rock concert.
All these texts are part of the old Latin mass set to polyphony.
Nobody can do this. Top man.🎶🎶🎶🎶🎶
Magnifique...utterly magnifique ,eh? His mass for 5 voces is summat else as well...listen to the soaring harmonies , the delightful ins and outs of the voices , of the varying timbres...he's the biz , the divine Byrd...yes , but don't go overboard...he'll never be another Des O' Connor or even Vince Hill , but he's bluddy good , give the man his due
Best
I have sung this mass many times. Byrd is my favorite composer and this is my favorite piece of his. This is a positively glorious performance of this work composed for the glory of God.
Bellissimo brano
Takes me to an other place ❤
Exquisite polyphony, truly a delight!
I think a bit of the Rossini energy is lost here., wich I dont think was the intent of Giuliani. In any case this is an extraordinary collection of colours, tones and moods.
God is in music like this. Our glimpse of his glorious love. No words can bring us nearer.
I truly believe God is in this music. Who but He could give us such glory?
@@catwoman-vr8ybum talented musicians?
certainly, Mr. Giuliani would not have sounded like that (on gut strings without nails) but I can't help but think he'd agree that Bream's Rossiniana sends his composition into the stratosphere. Superlatives don't suffice to capture Bream's interpretation. May his memory be for a blessing to guitarists young and old.
I've long found this piece to be brimful of great ideas but stitched together poorly, exasperated by the constant juxtaposition of differing technical effects and textures which upset a unified flow of dynamics and phrasing. Even Bream struggles with it.
Not hearing the struggle part
What key is this piece in?
@6:51 I love moments like these
4:00 as well
"We also read in the Testament, Genesis, chap. 6, verse 4, that giants were born when the sons of God came in unto the daughters of men: that is the very letter of the sacred text. Now, those giants were men of great stature, says Baruch, chap. 3, verse 26, and far superior to other men. Not only were they distinguished by their huge size, but also by their physical power, their plundering habits and their tyranny. Through their criminal excesses the Giants were the primary and principal cause of the Flood, according to Cornelius a Lapide, in his Commentary on Genesis. Some contend that by Sons of God are meant the sons of Seth, and by Daughters of men the daughters of Cain, because the former practiced piety, religion and every other virtue, whilst the descendants of Cain were quite the reverse; but, with all due deference to Chrysostom, Cyrillus, Hilarius and others who are of that opinion, it must be conceded that it clashes with the obvious meaning of the text. Scripture says, in fact, that of the conjunction of the above mentioned were born men of huge bodily size: consequently, those giants were not previously in existence, and if their birth was the result of that conjunction, it cannot be ascribed to the intercourse of the sons of Seth with the daughters of Cain, who being themselves of ordinary stature, could but procreate children of ordinary stature. Therefore, if the intercourse in question gave birth to beings of huge stature, the reason is that it was not the common connection between man and woman, but the performance of Incubi Demons who, from their nature, may very well be styled sons of God. Such is the opinion of the Platonist Philosophers and of Francis Georges the Venetian; nor is it discrepant from that of Josephus the Historian, Philo the Jew, S. Justinus the Martyr, Clement of Alexandria, and Tertullian, who look upon Incubi as corporeal Angels who have allowed themselves to fall into the sin of lewdness with women. Indeed, as shall be shown hereafter, though seemingly distinct, those two opinions are but one and the same." - Fr. Sinistrari of Ameno, par 32, www.gutenberg.org/cache/epub/54243/pg54243-images.html
thank you for posting this. 10 years later it is giving great pleasure, what a fabulous interpretation.
The time when being a catholic cost your life!
Baroque was gift to God, but reinassance was gift to humanity...
I believe its his 400 yr old birthday about now. He left this for us.

Just beautiful. Goes deep into my soul.
I love ❤ W Byrd. All for the glory of our Lord Jesus of Nazareth.
❤❤❤
Thank God for the genius of this music and the reason to write it. Amen! xxx
Lamb of God who takes away the sins of the world , have mercy on us.
Just picked up the Riemenschneider to study some chorales and heard the earl of Salisbury from a UA-cam recommendation. Some definite techniques I'd like to learn from these scores, if available.
Brahms’ uncanny mastery of the alternation of musical feeling states in a coherent oneness can only be captured with the accomplishment of presentation as a great feat of comprehension.
I sit down with the music to follow, hadn't even looked at it at all not had the time. And at the beginning of the Kyrie I suddenly realise that I know it! I sang it 35 years ago!! I'd forgotten all about it. I clearly also remember the bass part, I'm soprano, we were 4 here in France in the north east. Well what a surprise!
Barrueco, Bream, Russell the best!
Can’t decide whether l prefer this classical version to Sabicas’s flamenco version. Both are stupendous.
The second movement of this piece is one of the most sublime pieces of tonal string music ever written. Every time I hear the end, I am reminded that only Brahms could make a plagal cadence special…
Изумительная, великолепная музыка!♥️♥️♥️♥️
Recently I've noticed a few UA-cam comments about the best King's Singers recording of them all. I think this is it.
It’s quite melodious to be sure. The best?! 😮 Now that’s saying something considering the reputation of the King’s Singers.
@@benjamMin278 It's among the best, to be sure.
This is good, but there are some problems with pronounciation of the latin, such as exselsis instead of excelsis and Jesu instead of Yesu besides that this is a beautiful recording.
This performance aims to resemble pronunciations that would have been used by Byrd in his time. These differed in England from the "Roman" pronunciations, which are usually the ones we hear today. Obviously this is a stylistic choice that is absolutely fine not to do. If we were to be pedantic about pronunciations of Latin, then "excelsis" would be pronounced "ecskelsis".
@@pedalwerk Well that makes alot of sense, especially since I cant find any recordings of Byrd Pieces with Ecclesiastical pronunciation
Thank you so much for putting this on UA-cam. It’s a good time to be a guitarist, if you have the internet, you know? So lucky to have people like you put these amazing performers on here.
I wrote this song...
Did you write those etudes too?
I wrote this music...
Me too
Where can i get the music sheet for this?
What is so good is this recording is authentic with all male voices. As I am Catholic and go to the Traditional Mass offered by the Priestly Fraternity of St Peter I hear this and worship as Byrd did.
